3 Reasons Behind Ammo Shortage In 2020
In 2020 Ammunition is very hard to find. Every gun owner is facing this problem “where to buy ammo”? What are the reasons behind this?
First off at the beginning of the year quarantine was a thing. The coronavirus in the US so people were scared that they were gonna be at home and bad things were gonna happen. People started hoarding toilet paper, hand sanitizer. When people realized huh maybe I need a gun to defend all my toilet paper that I'm hoarding so what did people do? They went out, they bought guns, they bought ammo there was a whole new demand for ammo and that's the number one higher demand.
Reason number two companies like federal are working around the clock to try and keep up with the higher demand but they can't because raw materials are just really hard to get. What a lot of people don't realize is that China actually provided the United States with a lot of the raw materials to make bullets such as lead gunpowder primers and well pretty much everything.
Reason number three of why it's hard to get ammo right now as well because it's expensive. It's not what we used to pay for a box of nine-millimeter or five five-six. It's maybe five dollars more to ten dollars more. So almost double the price. Because there are tariffs on the raw materials that are being imported and manufacturers actually have to raise their prices so that's why ammo is pretty expensive right now.
it's probably not going to recover in the next 12 months but hopefully, it does soon won't. We don't know so with that being said if you have the ammo I probably wouldn't shoot it. If you had plenty then maybe I'd shoot a very minimal amount. When you go to the range I'd have a purpose for what you want to train that day instead of just wasting rounds.
So we'll see that that's it. Those are the three reasons why it's hard to get ammo. New farm owners and higher demand manufacturers can't keep up with demand because raw materials are hard to get and it's really expensive.
